Sea buckthorn, Hippophae rhamnoides, is a hardy shrub with brigh, vibrant orange berries. Native to Asia and Northern Europe ans adapted to the robust climate of the North Shore, il particularly appreciates sandy soils.
The berry is tart and astringent which tightens the taste buds.
